Project Overview
The world stands on the brink of an uncertain future. Climate change has devastating impacts on the world through food and water shortages and rising sea levels. Fears of artificial intelligence gone rogue or a nuclear war all threaten the future of humanity.
Some feel this is alarmist and the threat to our race is being exaggerated. But others, like Stephen Hawking, believe it is imperative that humans colonise another planet to save our civilisation. Who is right?
Students must make a decision on whether the future of humanity depends on adapting to the challenges we face on Earth or abandoning Earth and settling on a new planet. Their choice might shape the future of humanity.
Are they up to the challenge?
