Modern civilisation revolves around cities but, as they grow, increasing air and water pollution can cause serious long-term harm to people’s health.
Students must answer this question:
How can we make our cities healthy again?
Students must investigate the causes of pollution in cities. They should also explore how our diet and sedentary lifestyle might contribute to our health.
As a team, students must decide how to redesign a city or suburb to make it healthier. This should include a public health policy, to be submitted to the Government and the Health Minister, which they believe should be put in place to return the city to health.
Are they up to the challenge?
