What do animals need to survive?
Every animal lives in a habitat. A habitat is an animal’s (or plant’s) natural home or environment, which provides them with food, water, shelter, and space to survive. There are many different kinds of habitats. Different animals can thrive in fresh or salt water, in deserts, in forests, in the Arctic or Antarctic, or even in cities and urban environments.
As a class, brainstorm these two questions and share your answers on the board or on butcher paper. If you are at home, you might need to add them to a shared document or add them to the comments on the platform.
